Summary

LockFlow is an iOS 16 iPhone app to add widgets that run shortcuts in the Lock Screen and Home Screen.

What is LockFlow?

Your shortcuts on your iOS 16 Lock Screen.

LockFlow is an app that allows you to set quick actions always available with one tap from your Lock and Home Screen.

Run any Siri Shortcuts you created in the Shortcuts app.

Being able to set shortcuts on your Lock Screen is super useful:

  • - Run home automations with one tap
  • - Open an alternative camera app
  • - Get directions to a specific place
  • - Send a message to someone you frequently text
  • - Start playing your latest favorite podcast
  • - Leverage all your existing shortcuts by making them easily accessible

Configuring LockFlow is a super simple 3 step process.

  1. 1. Just set the exact name of the shortcut you want to run.
  2. 2. Add a symbol that will be visible on the Lock Screen
  3. 3. Add that widget in the Lock Screen

Focus Widgets

Focus Widgets example

Focus Widgets innovates by using Focus Filters to change the widgets on the Lock Screen depending on the active Focus Mode. This solves a long-standing request from advanced users that want to have more than four widgets in the Lock Screen.

Four Focus Widgets are available to users. For each Focus Mode you can configure a Focus Filter customizing the four widgets that will appear when that Focus Mode is active. Additionally, you have to configure a default widget that is used when no Focus Mode is active or when a Focus Mode does not have a Focus Filter configured.

Users can also do something similar to this using a feature from iOS 16 that allows setting a custom Lock Screen for each Focus Mode. The disadvantage of this approach is that it requires more time, as you need to customize each Lock Screen separately. If you want to change your wallpaper, you need to do that for each of your Lock Screen. Focus Widgets are easier to set up from the start, and saves time as you only need to customize one Lock Screen. Focus Widgets can also be used with multiple Lock Screens, if a user wants to have an ever more complex customization to fit their needs.

The feature comes with thorough instructions to help any user setup their Focus Widgets. This feature is currently exclusive to paying users, but that be tried for free by signing up for a free trial.

Who is LockFlow for?

Anyone can benefit from LockFlow, from amateur users looking to open an app directly from their Lock Screen to a power user looking to run complex shortcut automations. Some users that benefit from using LockFlow are:
