Exif Metadata Editor is an iPhone, iPad and M1 Mac app to edit Exif metadata, location and date of photos in an iCloud Photo Library.
Exif Metadata Editor is an app for users that want to edit the Exif metadata, location and date of their photos right on their iPhone, iPad or M1 Mac. It strives to help both amateur and professional photographers.
Users can:
- - View and edit their pictures from their iCloud Photo Library.
- - Explore the metadata of their photos with a simple but modern interface.
- - Edit more than one photo at once with batch editing.
- - Fix the date of all the photos from a trip after forgetting to adjust the date in the camera.
- - Add location to their photos to make it easier for them to later find their pictures by location.
- - Help analog or film photographers add metadata to their photo, such as ISO or exposure time.
- - Allow any user to preserve their privacy, by removing all metadata before sharing it to some shady app or company and avoid being tracked.
Any type of photographer can benefit from using the app, from an amateur using their iPhone to a professional photographer using expensive cameras. Three groups of people will find Exif Metadata Editor invaluable:
- - People who want to make their photo library perfect, by having all photos complete with the right metadata and precise location.
- - Professional photographers that need to edit their photos right on the field with an iPhone or iPad before sending them to an agency.
- - Users that care about their privacy and want to avoid getting tracked when sharing photos with strangers or shady apps.
Metadata Editor is free to download for iPhone, iPad and M1 Mac.
I am Andrés Pizá Bückmann, an indie iOS developer, developing Metadata Editor together with my wife, Anna Rodon Sagristà to whom I steal as much time as possible as she has a great eye for design and is the best at finding bugs.
We are both interested in photography (checkout our Instagrams: tovkal and anna_rodon, and my wife's portfolio!). Due to our interest and talking to some friends, we got the idea for the app and started developing it in mid 2022.
